Coffee Info
This coffee originates from the Nguku Factory, situated in Murang'a County, Kenya, where it is cultivated by small-scale farmers. These farms are nestled at elevations ranging from 1,700 to 1,900 meters, on the western slopes of the Aberdare Mountains. The area's climate and topography are ideal for growing coffee. Murang'a is celebrated for its nutrient-rich red volcanic soil and the cool temperatures that are optimal for coffee cultivation, a characteristic of this famous coffee-producing region. Nguku is one of the four factories (referred to as wet mills in Kenya) managed by the Kahuhia Coffee Growers Cooperative Society, which has around 3,000 active members in total.
